I won the 2009 and 2010 Christian Broadcasting Council Media Awards for best internet programme - Gold and Silver prize:
2010
GOLD: Prisoner and Budgerigar Judges Comments:
I loved the way this feature took someone who is usually
marginalised by society (a prison inmate), and humanised him by simply letting him speak for himself. Simple but effective, and very moving.
SILVER: A Christmas Robin Judges Comments:
A pleasant, easy listen, with great use of sound effects and outdoor recording that made you feel as if you were out in a field bird-watching. The way in which it combined a natural history lesson with the Christmas message and spiritual reflection is also commendable. Nice music too.
2009
Gold: Bereavement Podcast
Excellent piece - personal, moving and useful to others. Very honest and compelling. Fittingly simple, well written and nicely produced.
Silver: Journey - Sound of Many Waters
Another good piece from the Clifton Diocese - presented and packaged well with good quality audio. Excellent wide range of interesting voices - lay people and clergy. Good to hear the Catholic Church challenged on something like the environment and for the criticism to be positively received.

Garden Writers Guild Award 2007,
Best Radio Programme for Gardens of Faith
5 x 15 min programmes for Radio 4.
An exploration of a faith's attitude to nature through their gardens. Garden Writers Guild is now Garden Media Guild (www.gardenmediaguild.co.uk)
Judges comments:
The standard of entries this year was very high. Gardens of Faith were tremendous programmes -
stimulating and thoughtful, elegantly presented, technically accomplished, and utterly compelling listening.
The top prize went to Gardens of Faith because we felt that its subject matter
was ambitious - addressing issues both topical and important. Gardens of Faith is just what radio ought
to be: demanding, challenging, thought-provoking, instructive. It richly rewarded our attention.
In these times of fear and distrust, there is a great need for programmes like this.
